Gearing up for a boudoir session? I’ve got you covered! I know you’ve already got your outfits planned and your hair and makeup inspiration look, however do you have all your boxes checked off on your checklist?
Here are three important things you need to plan in the final moments of your boudoir session:
1) Come Up with an Empowering Phrase: Having the nervous jitters before your session is completely normal, and I’ve found that one of the best ways to pump yourself up is to repeat an affirmative or positive phrase! Such as “I’m sexy and I know it!” or “I am grateful for all that I am,” or “I am kind to myself today and always.”
2) Make Yourself a Fun Playlist: Awesome music can really gear you up for a killer session. Choose 20 to 30 of your favorite songs, upbeat might best to keep your energy high, and get ready to press play the day of your session. Don’t have a playlist. Don’t sweat it. At Chantal Benoit Photography’s Studio we play Enigma. It’s very erotic and will get you in the mood!!
3) Try on your Outfits: Reserve 30 to 60 minutes sometime between now and your boudoir session to try on your outfits. The more comfortable you are in your outfits, the more comfortable you’ll be on the day of the session! Tell yourself how awesome you look in each one of them and call out your favorite physical feature in each outfit. Don’t have any outfits to wear. Don’t’ worry. Chantal Benoit Photography has an awesome lingerie closet and will make you look and feel fabulous.
Bonus Tip: Write Down Why You’re Doing This: Take a good 15 to 20 minutes to write down the reasons why you decided to do your boudoir session. Maybe it’s to embrace your body, you want to build your confidence or you want to give a milestone gift to your partner. Whatever the reason, this session is a celebration and we’re going to have a heck of a time.
Looking forward into working with you. This is the end of your comfort zone!!
