Some people become doctors, teachers, or politicians, some throw themselves into the world of finance or sales, and some run full steam into the sciences. These practical jobs have their place in this world and I’m very grateful to every single person who chooses any of this career paths and all the ones I didn’t name.

I’ll be the first to admit that boudoir photography isn’t a practical profession, it’s a luxury, and that it can even be misunderstood by some. However, there’s one thing I know from my personal experience that doing this work: has change many lives.

It’s no secret we live in a brutal and judgmental world. One filled with marketing images of airbrushed “perfection,” and marketing scheme to become “better” through diet, supplements, gym memberships, and more.

Baring all in front of the camera may seem like a way to feature every flaw that women are taught to believe about themselves, however I’m here to tell you that boudoir photography has the complete opposite effect on my clients.

Boudoir photography empowers women. It gives them the opportunity to unleash their curves, to forget about all the marketing noise, to celebrate their bodies in a way they’ve never done before.

I may not have the most “practical” job that saves literal lives or educates children, however just like I know there is value in those careers, I know there is also value being a boudoir photographer because every woman who steps in front of my camera walks away feeling more sure of herself and more beautiful than ever before.

“Thank you for showing me a side of myself I had lost.  For allowing me to see myself through different eyes without judgement.” – Miss M
